Local Restaurants
As we do not provide evening meals ourselves, we are very fortunate to have a wide variety of shops, cafés and restaurants within a short distance of the Hotel.
Within Kyleakin there are 3 choices for evening drinks and possibly even live music! The Kings Arms has a main restaurant and bar, but also has a more lively local bar and is just a 5 minute walk into the centre of the village. Saucy Mary's and the Haakon, are the local bars, also in the centre of the village, and offer meals throughout the day and evening, with live music some weekends.
At the top of the village, about a 10-15 minute walk from us, just by the Skye Bridge, you can enjoy a great Indian meal at The Taste of India.
On a Friday and/or a Saturday evening, Sheena’s Fish & Chip van visits the village and is rightly popular, as her fish & chips are excellent!
Just across the Bridge in Kyle, both the Kyle & Lochalsh hotels, offer evening meals, along with a couple of local bars and Hector’s Bothy (cafe/takeaway).
You will also find the ever popular, Kyle Chinese Takeaway, hiding away at the far end of the Main Street.
During the summer months booking a restaurant table is extremely advisable. We are happy to make advance reservations for guests on request.
From the White Heather, driving times to the various restaurant locations are as follows;

Broadford - 10 minutes
